Jillian is definitely a reader, she reads whenever she has the chance. Although she hardly has any time to read during the school year, she sometimes spends several hours a day reading a book in the summer. Jillian learned to read when she was a young child from her parents, and listening to her father read Harry Potter to her and her brothers every night. People read for enjoyment, relaxation, information, and to get away to another world. In order to be a good reader, you have to have an expanded vocabulary and understand many different concepts. But to be a great reader, you have to love it. What makes reading easy for Jillian, is that she enjoys it and gets plenty of satisfaction out of reading and finishing a book. The hardest part about reading for Jillian is that she sometimes does not have a lot time to read. When she goes awhile without reading her current novel, she sometimes forgets some parts of it that she has previously read. Jillian chooses books that interest her by reading the little summary that's on the back of the book. She usually likes to read romantic novels. Jillian always enjoys a good love story. Jillian usually reads at home whenever she feels she has nothing to do or when she's yearning to read a good book. Jillian feels that reading is one of the many greatest things in life.
Jillian is not as much of a writer as she is a reader. She learned to write when she very young. Her parents would sit her at the dinner table and have her practice writing her name. People write because it's a way to create your own world. People also write to inform, to let out feelings and beliefs, and for many other various reasons. In order to be a great writer, you have to have an expanded vocabulary and a creative imagination. You get your ideas of what you write about from experiences, thoughts, and ideas. Jillian doesn't write at home too often. She usually only writes when she's doing homework or when she wants to remember things, such as something that happened or simply just reminders. Jillian feels like what she writes is nothing very special, interesting, or important, but she sometimes does enjoy writing.
